Our Partial Hospitalization Program for Eating Disorders
At Eden, we understand that eating disorders are complicated and they require expert care by a multidisciplinary team of professionals. We strive to treat each client and family that comes to us with compassion and respect. We are committed to supporting clients through a full continuum of care, balancing the need for structure with the need for clients to integrate into their lives and families as they become able to do so. At all levels of care, our treatment programs and interventions are guided by our core values of Hope, Respect, Creativity, and Effectiveness (see our Core Values).
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for Eating Disorders
Partial hospitalization, or PHP, is designed for people with eating disorders who require a significant amount of structure and support to manage their emotions and behaviors, but who do not require the 24-hour supervision of a residential or hospital setting.
Our PHP program operates five days per week and offers up to forty hours of treatment per week, between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Clients typically attend PHP five days per week and receive comprehensive, clinical, dietary, medical, and psychiatric care by our experienced team of licensed professionals. Clients in PHP receive an initial psychiatric evaluation and weekly monitoring, including medication management and are monitored regularly for medical stability by our registered nurse and physician.
The dietary program at Eden is supervised by a Registered Dietician who works with our clients to restore nutritional health and balance. Two delicious kosher meals and one snack are provided each day, with our dietary and clinical teams providing direct support and supervision before, during, and after eating.
PHP clients receive two individual psychotherapy sessions and one family therapy session each week with their primary therapist. They receive one individual session per week with a Registered Dietician, along with daily mealtime support and check-ins. In addition to their individual sessions, PHP clients attend four specialized groups per day. Group sessions include Process Group, DBT, Trauma-informed yoga, Hypnotherapy, Body Acceptance and Relapse Prevention, and are facilitated by licensed professionals.
